Project Overview
At Global Food Week 2024, Tarweej delivered a large-scale exhibition environment for the Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition, anchored by two major stands for the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation and Al Wathba Dates, alongside a substantial number of supporting exhibitor booths across the hall.
The project was designed to communicate scale, quality, and institutional presence at every level. From landmark feature stands to repeatable booth systems, Tarweej orchestrated a cohesive environment that balanced brand identity, visitor movement, product display, and practical event operations.
What We Delivered
Tarweej delivered an integrated exhibition solution that combined signature architecture with scalable booth production, including:
- Landmark stand design for Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation
- Retail-style branded stand for Al Wathba Dates
- Fabrication and installation of multiple exhibitor booths across the hall
- Product display zones and illuminated shelving
- Hospitality seating and meeting areas
- Feature entrances, framed portals, and branded façades
- Lighting integration and visual detailing
- Hall-wide spatial coordination and finishing
Design Approach
The design language combined warm wood tones, clean white volumes, dark textured feature walls, integrated linear lighting, and greenery accents. As a result, the environment felt both premium and welcoming. Tarweej used this contrast to give the major stands a strong visual identity, while the repeated booth system created order and consistency across the wider exhibition hall.
Visitor Experience
Visitor flow was clearly organized through bold entrance frames, open-sided layouts, and wide circulation aisles. The two main stands acted as visual anchors, drawing attention from a distance and encouraging deeper engagement inside. Meanwhile, the surrounding booth program supported discovery, product browsing, and business conversations without feeling fragmented.
Challenges & Solutions
This project operated at a much larger scale than a typical exhibition stand. Tarweej was responsible not only for two major branded environments, but also for the visual and operational coordination of a substantial part of the hall. That meant managing custom flagship structures, repeatable booth systems, product display needs, circulation planning, and installation sequencing within one unified delivery.
A key challenge was maintaining hierarchy without losing cohesion. The Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation stand and the Al Wathba Dates stand needed to feel prominent and memorable, while the surrounding booths still had to look organized, professional, and connected to the wider exhibition identity. Tarweej addressed this through a clear spatial strategy that treated the major stands as architectural anchors and the supporting booths as a disciplined, scalable system.
- Cohesive environment delivered from the main feature stands to the wider exhibitor zone
- Strong delivery control across a high volume of components and branded touchpoints
- Integrated coordination of design, fabrication, logistics, and installation from the outset
- Consistency maintained across the exhibition hall
- Finish quality protected across both major stands and supporting booths
- Clear, navigable visitor experience across the venue
Production & Execution
Tarweej coordinated design, fabrication, logistics, and on-site installation as one integrated process. This approach helped maintain finish quality across both hero structures and the larger booth inventory. In addition, consistent materials, lighting treatment, and disciplined site coordination ensured that the entire hall was delivered with clarity, speed, and control.
Results & Impact
The final result was a high-visibility exhibition environment that demonstrated Tarweej’s ability to execute beyond a single stand. By delivering two major branded destinations and a broad exhibitor booth program across the venue, Tarweej transformed the hall into a coherent, professional, and experience-led platform. The project clearly reflects Tarweej’s strength in managing scale without losing design quality or operational control.
