Project Overview
The Arab-Chinese Relations Symposium in Abu Dhabi 2023 called for a formal, highly controlled conference environment that could support diplomatic dialogue while reflecting the stature of the event. From the provided visuals, the project brought together a central roundtable format, a branded main stage, large-format display integration, and curated arrival features within a premium hospitality venue.
Tarweej delivered a coordinated event environment that combined design clarity with technical discipline. We engineered and executed a space that supported protocol, visibility, circulation, and audience engagement while maintaining a calm, refined visual language throughout the venue.

Design Approach
The design language balanced diplomatic formality with contemporary simplicity. Soft architectural curves, layered scenic forms, warm neutral finishes, and integrated lighting created a composed setting that felt prestigious without becoming visually heavy. In addition, the circular planning reinforced dialogue, equality of presence, and clear sightlines across the room.
Visitor Experience
The venue experience was structured to feel ceremonial from arrival to participation. Branded entry features, reception points, and digital content helped frame the journey into the main conference space. Once inside, the open circular layout supported orientation, smooth movement, and clear visual connection to the stage and discussion zone.
Challenges & Solutions
This kind of event environment demands precision across protocol, staging, branding, and technical integration. Tarweej addressed that complexity by keeping the design language disciplined and the execution tightly coordinated. As a result, architectural features, screens, seating, and scenic elements worked together as one controlled system.
Production & Execution
We coordinated design, fabrication, finishing, transport, and on-site assembly as a single delivery process. Custom-built scenic elements, counters, display housings, and delegate-area features were installed to maintain consistency in alignment, lighting, and material quality. Meanwhile, venue integration was managed carefully to support both presentation performance and event readiness.
Results & Impact
The final environment delivered a polished and authoritative setting for a high-level international symposium.
