Project Overview
The International Date Palm Conference 2019 brought together a professional audience in Abu Dhabi for a formal conference and awards program. Tarweej supported the event as a conference production partner. The scope included AVL, stage setup, backdrop production, event management, and event furniture.
Based on the supplied visuals, the venue included a large main stage, registration and reception areas, photo backdrops, branded directional features, and arrival signage. As a result, the environment felt calm, clear, and premium. It also supported ceremony, visibility, and smooth guest movement across the venue.

Design Approach
The design style was elegant, formal, and controlled. Clean white structures, stepped staging, warm lighting, and focused branding created a refined setting. As a result, the space suited both official sessions and award presentations.
In addition, the layout used symmetry and clear focal points. This improved visibility from the arrival area through to the main conference hall.
Visitor Experience
Visitor movement followed a clear sequence. First, guests arrived through branded entry features. Then they moved to registration and pre-function areas before entering the main conference space. Therefore, the experience felt organized and welcoming.
At the same time, the large screen, wide stage frontage, and scenic elements improved sightlines. This helped keep audience attention on the program.
Challenges & Solutions
This project required several branded areas to work together without feeling crowded. Tarweej solved that challenge by using a consistent palette and a simple design language. In addition, Tarweej coordinated the scenic, furniture, and stage elements as one system.
As a result, the event maintained a polished and unified identity across all public-facing touchpoints.
Production & Execution
Tarweej’s service model is built on integrated delivery. It combines design, fabrication, installation, conference organization, and AVL coordination. In this project, that approach helped align stage production, guest-facing elements, and venue finishes with precision.
Meanwhile, careful coordination supported smooth execution on site. This ensured consistency across the full event environment.
Results & Impact
The final environment presented the conference as a formal and well-managed platform for dialogue, recognition, and institutional representation. Moreover, it showed Tarweej’s ability to deliver elegant conference settings with technical control, spatial clarity, and calm on-site execution.
