The International Date Palm Conference 2023 is a conference production and staging project in Abu Dhabi for the Khalifa International Date Palm Award, delivered by Tarweej as an integrated conference environment with stage setup, backdrop production, AVL support, and branded event elements.
Held in Abu Dhabi in 2023, the project brought together formal conference presentation, strong institutional branding, and a polished guest experience. Based on the provided visuals, the environment included a large central stage backdrop, side display screens, illuminated scenic detailing, a branded reception feature, freestanding digital displays, and custom award presentation elements.

Design Approach
The design language balanced institutional formality with a contemporary event finish. Clean architectural framing, bilingual branding, warm neutral surfaces, and illuminated linear details gave the stage a composed visual rhythm. At the same time, the palm motif and award branding created a clear identity across the venue.
Visitor Experience
The space appears to have been organized for smooth delegate arrival, clear sightlines, and focused stage engagement. First, guests encountered branded touchpoints at entry. Then, the environment guided attention toward the main stage, where large-format visuals and balanced scenic composition supported both live proceedings and screen-based content.
Challenges & Solutions
Conference environments like this demand both ceremonial presence and technical reliability. Tarweej addressed that balance by integrating scenic production, display placement, lighting accents, and front-of-house elements into one coherent setup. As a result, the venue supported formal proceedings without visual clutter.
Production & Execution
From fabrication through installation, the project required close coordination across branding, scenic finishes, screens, furniture, and venue setup. The final environment shows disciplined execution, with consistent detailing across the stage, reception feature, freestanding displays, and award presentation areas
